We are pleased to announce that the photographic workshop will  reopen later this year and we will now soon be running a regular programme of new exhibitions and open workshops.

A professional quality wet process darkroom will be maintained for exhibition production and demonstrations.

Digital facilities will be improved. This includes a large format pigment ink printer and a high resolution scanner.

Workstations for visiting photographers will be available.

A specialist studio will be built to support exhibition production and a picture archive.

A collection of pictures and equipment together with a small reference library will be established and maintained.

We will raise funds for photographic projects, exhibitions and training workshops.  A number of exhibitions are planned including the historic “Byker Voices’ and ‘London Shadows’.

Experimental and mixed media work will be encouraged and classic skills and techniques will be demonstrated.
