Foam Board also known as Foam Core Board is a lightweight mount board made from polystyrene
sandwiched between sheets of hot pressed paper. For general use 5mm thick board is the most
popular. 3mm is often prone to warping, 10 mm is recommended for free standing displays.
Foam Board is recomended for exhibition production, presentations and model making.
Always test the adhesive before applying finished work, some glues contain polystyrene solvents.
Spraymount and Photomount adhesives are commonly used to mount pictures, but must be used in
a well ventilated space. Letraset Studiotac is a good clean product - a self adhsive tranfer film that
makes mounting artwork easy. Please note that Aerosols are a fire risk and cannot be sent by post.  
Self adhesive boards, pre-coated with adhesive are a stock item.
Foamboard is normally white but grey and black is also
available in these combinations.

BBB = all Black, Black core.

BBG = Black & Grey covers, Black core

BWG = Black & Grey covers, White core

Kapa board is more durable than standard foam board because its core is polyurethane foam
It is the prefered surface for exhibition mounts, model making, digital & screen printing, painting, spray painting, covering with textiles using adhesives and staples, punching, fretting with jigsaws, usable on both sides, presentation base, compatible with solvent based adhesives and inks.
