The Black Swan Bar & Venue has a full On and Off Sales licence and can run Music & Dance events until 2am all week, Mon-Sat, Sunday until 12.30am. There are two rooms with accomodation for 125 and 200 people. The Bar uses an ancient cellar which opens out into the Arts Centre courtyard. The Black Swan has a Public Entertainment licence to accomodate 125 people, but is comfortable with an occupancy of 80 people for cabaret, folk and jazz events. The bar is available for meetings and party hire. Programme Black Swan in the venue name for music and performance events presented in both the Bar and the Basement Theatre. The current Programme, which runs up to five nights a week, encompasses world music, rock, jazz, and the occasional classical event. Fridays and Saturdays are reserved for special events.
