Bockingford and Somerset art papers for inkjet printing

To achieve the best possible prints leading paper makers have worked hard to produce traditional papers with special coatings which ensure high quality results using ordinary inkjet printers. At Newcastle Arts Centre we have years of experience producing art and graphic prints for exhibitions and displays. Our policy is to stock products that are tried and tested and we would use ourselves. In support of this visitors can see samples of prints made on the papers listed on this page in our Newcastle shop.

Gicle´e printing :- gicle'e is a printing standard used to produce editions of artists prints. It requires the use of ’acid free’ papers with light resistant pigmented inks and aims at archival quality. Prints made with ordinary commercial papers and inks should not be called gicle'e.

Bockingford Inkjet watercolour Paper.

20 sheet pack. 190gsm / 90lb. The most popular watercolour paper modified to make it suitable for inkjet reproduction of watercolour, gouache or acrylic paintings, coated on both sides. The paper is ‘buffered’ to maintain a neutral PH.
Double-Sided Bockingford Inkjet is a good choice for limited edition books, portfolios and greetings cards. The coating is more durable than most other fine art inkjet papers. A fine art paper that can give photographs a special look and feel.

Newcastle Arts Centre Limited was founded as an Arts Development company in 1981

Since then it has brought back to use a group of 9 abandoned buildings in the City Centre and has provided home for dozens
of arts related companies. The Centre now has 82,000 visitors a year and 77,000 sales, making it one of the most active
independent Art Centres in England. The Centre shows Exhibitions, Music and some theatre. It has Studios making Music,
Photography, Ceramics, Architectural Glass and Graphic Design. It has a Gallery, Performance Venue, Bar, Conference Rooms,
and shops for Art Materials,Original Crafts, and Picture framing. Projects for 2007 include the restoration of the Assembly House
