Bockingford and Somerset Art Papers for Inkjet Printing

To achieve the best possible prints leading paper makers have worked hard to produce traditional papers with special coatings which ensure high quality results using ordinary inkjet printers. At Newcastle Arts Centre we have years of experience producing art and graphic prints for exhibitions and displays. Our policy is to stock products that are tried and tested and we would use ourselves. In support of this visitors can see samples of prints made on the papers listed on this page in our Newcastle shop. Gicle´e printing: Gicle'e is a printing standard used to produce editions of artists prints. It requires the use of ’acid free’ papers with light resistant pigmented inks and aims at archival quality. Prints made with ordinary commercial papers and inks should not be called gicle'e.
