Illustrator and print maker Josie Brookes will teach a range of illustration techniques using a varity of media. Whether you are an absolute beginner, intermediate or just fancy a new challenge, this is a fun and rewarding workshop to help you develop your own signature illustration style.

Soft Pastels

Aidan will demonstrate his free and bold style of drawing and illustrating with pastel, charcoal and graphite in his own unpretentious way. Students will be encouraged to develop their skills and free-up their drawing and painting techniques.

Artist Marcia Todman leads this one day taster workshop, demonstrating a range of silk painting styles and methods, including stretching silk. All materials provided.

Taking you one cut & stitch further to being a dress maker! Tutors Hannah Shaw and Sarah Grant will teach you the basics of pattern cutting as you create a bodice block from your own measurements, cutting and sewing a toile of your design over this 2 day workshop.

Life Drawing

Using a range of provided media and materials, this course provides an in-depth introduction to a selection of Life Drawing practices with artist Narbi Price. Working from an unclothed model, each class will explore a different aspect of the Life Drawing process and develop each student's skills in drawing and looking.

Painting 101

How Painting Works

Course Fee £35

Part-lecture, part-workshop, part-surgery, join technical expert and self-confessed 'paint geek' Narbi Price for this one day event exploring all of the main painting media. Fundamental to producing successful paintings is a good working knowledge of the materials used - this session will look at making paintings from the ground up and address common problems and pitfalls.

Covering surfaces, brushes, mediums, the paint itself and importantly, the 'rules' of good painting practice and how to break them!

There will also be plenty of opportunities to ask whatever technical questions you like, however unusual!"
