The Forum / Weymouth - professional quality unit

The Forum drawing unit is of tubular construction with maximum stability due to its large footprint, and has a board height adjustment range of 37cm / 13.5" from a minimum horizontal height of 75cm / 29" - or reference table level. A parallelogram mechanism enables height and angle of the board to be easily balanced and locked by means of a simple single lever which is fully retractable. The unit incorporates a double tension spring to assist height adjustment, and two variable-related torsion springs for angle adjustment. The Weymouth parallel motion is a simple, positive and accurate cable-type unit. Control of the straight-edge is by means of a spring-loaded braided cable. Counterbalance is provided by weights, which maintain constant tension, thus ensuring smoothness of movement. Ball type bearings are used throughout to ensure smooth trouble-free operation. Available in A1 and A0 The Forum stand is available in White, Black, and Red - please note the drafting head is not included

Desk Top Units

The Trueline drawing unit
A portable board and parallel motion system for the drawing office, studio, student or home use. The parallel motion is a cross wire system, controlled by nylon covered stranded steel cable running on corner pulleys fitted with ball-bearings for smooth movement . Moulded corner blocks attach the pulleys to the board and also protect the corners of the board from damage. Every Truline unit comes with a double bevelled transparent graduated straightedge, undercut to provide a inking edge. A simple brake on both ends allow the straightedge to be locked in any position. Also the straightedge can be adjusted in a way to raise it off the board to allow a cutting mat to be placed under it, or can be removed altogether. The carry handle is hinged to allow it to be used as a support to give a good working angle.

This simple board and parallel motion system is ideal for the Student and DIY/Hobby enthusiast. The Challenge unit is robust and accurate witch incorporates a cross wire parallel motion running on a pulley system, similar to the Trueline unit. The straightedge is transparent acrylic with a graduated scale. Also fitted with a hinged carry handle that allows it to be used as a support to give a good working angle.
