The Frameshop
is the well established framing workshop of Newcastle Arts
Centre. There has been a framing service at this site since
1885!
Here at the Frameshop we deliver a fast and friendly bespoke
framing service. Our objective is to design framing
solutions according to your budget which protect and exhibit
your treasured items. Each frame is tailor made to
complement the work. No job is too big or too small.
We offer a wide variety of wooden and aluminium mouldings in
contemporary and classic styles, to suit conservation,
corporate and budget requirements. If you can’t find
what you’re looking for, our in house carpenter can
help to design and realise your ideas.
Our team hold considerable experience when working with
three dimensional objects and textiles as well as
contemporary and traditional art works.
It's our expert understanding of presentation methods and
conservation techniques, combined with our craftsmanship and
dedication to quality, which enables us to provide our
clients with a professional service.
Since established as a department of Newcastle Arts Centre
in 1972 we have worked on framing projects of all sizes. We
provide art galleries, museums, universities, artists,
photographers, collectors and the general public with a made
to measure and personal framing service.
We can advise on and supply standard and museum quality
materials including diffused glass and WaterWhite low iron,
anti reflective, anti-UV specialist framing glass for
ultimate viewing, clarity and protection.
In store we sell a range of conservation and standard grade
mount board from which we can cut window mounts to your
specification. We also supply float and MDF cut to size and
a range of framing hardware.
Whatever your requests we will endeavour to meet your
deadlines.
