Finally waterproof colours for glass painting !

If you don't like your design you can change it by wiping off with water, as the colours are not permanent before they are baked. After 24 hours of drying, bake the colours in the oven at 160°C (325°F) for 40 minutes. Once baked, the colours are dishwasher safe.

30 remarkably transparent colours for fine decorations on glass. Available in gloss or frosted version, the Vitrea 160 water based colours combine professional quality and ease of use. After baking at 160°C (325°F) in a domestic oven, the depth of the colour is enhanced and the paints are dishwasher safe.

Applied on glass and crystal, the transparency of Vitrea 160 colours allows you to take full advantage of the play of light. However, Vitrea 160 can be applied on other heat resistant surfaces which can withstand a temperature of 160°C (325°F).

Vitrea 160 are ready to use colours. Liquid, in bottle, paste in tube or in felt tip markers, Vitrea 160 colours display the same characteristics and properties : used together, you are completely free to experiment with the effects and techniques. The glossy or frosted appearance of the colours provides an infinite variety of light and shadow. After baking, colours are exceptionally intense and glass seems to be body dyed.

 To add flow to colours, use the Vitrea 160 thinner. Gloss and frosted medium are used to lighten the colours without changing their technical characteristics ; iridescent medium, when mixed with colours, produces iridescent colours. To obtain a crackle finish, first apply the crackling medium phase 1, followed by the phase 2 and then paint over with colour.

 Before painting with Vitrea 160, simply degrease with alcohol (methylated spirits)or soapy water. Allow to air dry for 24 hours, then bake in an ordinary domestic oven. Place the decorated object in a cold oven. Once the temperature has reached 160°C (325°F), allow to bake for 40 minutes. After baking, colours are dishwasher safe and resistant to detergents and common solvents.

Pure squirrel brushes or brushes in a mixture of squirrel and synthetic fibres as used for watercolour painting are recommended.
