Signs, barriers, planters and surface finishes could be designed so as to enhance the character of the place. Links to Monument Bigg Market, Pilgrim Square, Gallowgate and Grainger Street could be emphasised by tree-lined walkways and the new tram system could provide a regular direct link to the heart of the City.
