The Black Swan is the music, dance and performance venue in the basement of Newcastle Arts Centre.

Entered from a planted, private, off-street courtyard. As an arts venue it’s a very flexible space and is used to catering to a wide variety of events from performance art, world music, Jazz, Latin, the occasional classical concert and theatrical events.

As a social venue it is regularly used for family and corporate events, including Weddings, Parties, Conferences and Presentations.

This unique setting makes it an ideal place for family celebrations.

The Black Swan is an experienced wedding venue. It is an original basement venue within a courtyard, located in Newcastle City centre.

At the Black Swan we are here to help you create your special day. Whether it’s a big event or just a small, intimate occasion with close family and friends.

We tailor our venue to you and your individual requirements and make your wedding celebrations a unique and memorable occasion for all.

A £75 deposit applies when booking, this is a non-refundable payment that will come off your final hire balance.
