‘Headcase’ represents my ongoing interest in people. Collage, which I had previously regarded as a ‘jumping off point’ for other work, became my chosen medium for eighteen months. Its accessible, surreal nature appealed immediately and the way in which, through juxtapositions of image, slices and glimpses of character would reveal themselves.
