Join us on Tuesday 16 March, 8 pm for the first in our new series of live streams from the Black Swan. We aim to bring you the best in jazz from the local scene – and some from further afield once travel restrictions ease – together with restarting our popular Tuesday Jam sessions once we are able to invite an audience and sitters-in to join us.
We’re kicking off with the fantastic Sue Ferris Quartet, featuring Sue on saxes and flute, Stu Collingwood on piano, Neil Harland on double bass and Rob Walker on drums, all well-seasoned jazz musicians from the North East. We’ll be cooking up a healthy winter hot pot of tasty jazz classics- from standards to blue note and beyond. Music from Ellington, Evans, Monk, Hargrove, Rollins and Silver all possible in the mix. Please join us for an hour or so of nourishing music.
If you have any song requests for the jam session then please email to venue@newcastle-arts-centre.co.uk
